Supporting Pastors, Missionaries & their families

Before sending out His disciples, Jesus prepared them for the challenges they would face. Today, those challenges remain. Serving in God’s work—whether on the mission field or within the church—can bring seasons of loneliness, exhaustion, confusion, and discouragement, often with few safe spaces to share those struggles.

Conversar provides confidential and compassionate support for those faithfully serving the Lord around the world. After a free 30-minute consultation to ensure the right fit, we offer 4–6 sessions at no cost for full-time ministry workers, with additional sessions available at a reduced rate if needed.

Please complete the confidential application below, and our team will be in touch with you soon.

Supporting Congregations Around the World

The vast majority of pastors around the world are forced to work full time for their personal and family support. This leaves them with limited time to dedicate to each member of the congregation and to ministry leaders in counseling and discipleship. In addition, pastors are limited to the amount of quality time they are able to spend with family.

How can Conversar support my congregation?

Conversar exists to ease the pastoral burden by offering your church members the process of counseling conversations for the purpose of supporting spiritual growth and personal development. It is worth mentioning that the services of Conversar is by no means a substitute for the active ministry of the pastors in people's lives. However, Conversar’s counseling relationships serve as one more tool to support the goal of building the church of Christ.

What we are not…

We must also clarify that this counseling ministry does not intend to replace the psychological therapy that a licensed professional can offer for cases involving more complex situations or mental illness.

How can I know what type of help a person needs? One of the purposes for the free initial consultation will be to make a 45 minute assessment of the client's needs and goals. The pastor of the church where the client is a member may also complete a form with their observations and recommendations.

Confidentiality

The confidentiality of the counseling conversations between the counselor and the client is of utmost importance. Conversar recognizes that confidentiality is one of the values that makes this process a safe place where people can go without fear of being marked or marginalized by people within their organization while receiving guidance based on Scriptural truth and the work of the Holy Spirit. However, there is an exception to the rule of complete confidentiality. The client will receive and must sign a confidentiality agreement that explains that the only way that confidentiality should be broken is if there is a risk of physical harm or risk of life to the client or someone else. If this happens, the counselor will contact the pastor, leader or family member that the client submitted as their Emergency Contact.
